TREATMENT MODALITIES

Laser helps recovery from injury in several ways. It reduces pain and inflammation, accelerates healing in damaged tissues, relaxes muscles and stimulates nerve regeneration

Laser is particularly effective in extinguishing painful trigger points as well as stimulating acupuncture points.

It can reduce fibrous tissue formation which aids in the reduction of scar tissue following tissue damage from repetitive motion injuries, cuts, scratches, burns or surgery.

Benefits include pain relief and reduction of muscle spasm as well as the reduction of inflammation and swelling. It promotes better circulation in soft tissues and helps increase range of motion in joints and decreases joint stiffness.

Interferential current therapy is stimulation made by the interception of two electrical mediums of varying frequencies that work together to successfully stimulate large impulse fibers. These frequencies interfere with the pain transmission messages at the spinal cord level.

This can help with the reduction of oedema (swelling) and pain post-surgery e.g. total hip, knee, ankle surgery or nerve injury. It can help with the regeneration of peripheral nerve muscle activation and thereby helps restore lost movement and improves coordination. It stimulates the natural hormones which can help your body heal faster and is considered by many experts as a highly effective form of treatment for chronic pain.

Ultrasound is a therapy used for treating chronic pain and various kinds of disorders such as arthritis, fibromyalgia and acute injuries.

Ultrasound therapy makes use of ultrasound waves in order to target problems that are present deep inside the body without breaking the skin’s surface.

Ultrasound is used for therapeutic purposes in such a way that the high-frequency sound waves reach the affected area and relieve the pain without side effect.

Ultrasound therapy can be an ideal way to effectively treat musculoskeletal injuries, joint pains, soft tissue injuries, bone fractures and restricted range of movements that occur at a depth of 1cm to 5cm underneath the skin.

Traction devices treat different types and causes of spinal pain, tension, and tightness. It is a non-surgical way to relieve pain and correct problems in the spine. Spinal traction stretches the spine to take pressure off compressed discs. This straightens the spine and improves the body’s ability to heal itself

The results of spinal traction include pain relief, proper spinal alignment, and decompressed joints. Spinal traction stretches the muscles and bones in the back to combat the effects of gravity. Under the right circumstances, this could significantly improve the way you move and feel throughout the day.
