This very gentle technique assists the body in its own healing process and brings effective relief from many forms of tension, pain and discomfort caused by the build-up of stress in the body.

When the stresses of life, whether mechanical, chemical, or mental/emotional, reach the level of overload, the body is no longer able to adapt constructively. The stress becomes locked into the physical structures, causing pain, stiffness, numbness, or postural distortions. This stored tension has an impact on the nervous system and undermines the body’s natural ability to co-ordinate its functions and heal and maintain itself.

CAUSES OF BODY STRESS RELEASE

The 3 causes of body stress

Physical stress is caused, for example, by bad working posture, injury, a traffic accident, a fall or the incorrect lifting of heavy objects.

Mental stress arises from intense emotions such as prolonged anger, shock, relationship problems, loss of loved one, but also, for example, by financial worries, depression, burnout or other emotional and psychological stress.

Chemical stress is caused by hypersensitivity to, or (pro-longed) exposure to certain substances. This can occur through consumption, inhalation or absorption through the skin. For example, anaesthetics, artificial colouring and flavourings, but also cosmetics, perfume, paint, medicines, food, alcohol, drugs etc.

 

HOW MANY APPOINTMENTS ARE NEEDED?

We always start off with 3 Body Stress Release sessions within 11 days, (on day 1, day 4 and day 11), to kick-start the body’s self-healing mechanism. Follow-up sessions and their frequency will vary from person to person. If the body stress has arisen recently, recovery usually takes place quite quickly. When the tension has been in the body for longer, more releases will be needed.
